Amanda is an Associate Attorney at Eclat Law focusing on matters such as Tax Planning and Advice for Individuals, Small Businesses, and Corporations; Start-ups; Wills, Trusts and Estates; Business Transactions and General Civil Litigation.
Amanda earned an LL.M, Master of Laws, in Taxation from Boston University where she focused primarily on Corporate and Small Business Taxation as well as Trusts, Estates, and Charitable Tax Planning. She has practical experience in Individual Tax Preparation at the Federal, State, and Local levels as well as experience in Tax Planning and Advice. She is an Authorized IRS E-file Provider and a Credentialed Senior Tax Expert Consultant with Intuit, TurboTax.
Prior to joining the firm, Amanda worked in Compliance for Medical Malpractice Defense Claims and Plaintiff’s Personal Injury. She has experience with Medicare Secondary Payer Compliance, HIPAA Compliance, and Medicare lien investigations and disputes. She also has experience in subrogation and property damage resolution. She was also a licensed All-Lines Adjuster for the State of Florida.
While in Law School Amanda was a volunteer and subsequent President of the VITA – Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, a free tax preparation program funded through the IRS. Amanda trained over 100 volunteers in tax preparation and successfully oversaw the completion and filing of over 200 tax returns for moderate to low-income families in the Orlando Area during the 2016 filing season. She was an Associate Editor on the Child and Family Law Journal from 2015-2016 and a Senior Editor during the 2016-2017 school years. Amanda was awarded Book Awards in Interviewing, Counseling and Negotiating as well as Trial Advocacy and Government Contracts for earning the highest grade.
Amanda now uses her extensive education and experience in these areas in her current practice as a Tax Attorney.
